For the first time in JWM’s history, we will be holding a week long competition.
We have increased the number of judges from 9 to 11, and allowing the judgment of Static parallel to flying judgment.

We want to stress that you might see some published different dates related to the JWM but now we are pleased to publish this new Final Dates of The JWM Competition:

18^th – 25^th June 2009

 
After receiving comments from the IJMC Reps we Gathered that most of the teams will prefer to have a lower temperature period, and that they have no objection to have it in June 2009.

We can not take the risk of having a very High Temperatures during the competition like in other Summer Months; this is why we chose June.

We are apologizing for any inconvenience, but this is why we updated it 14 months before the Event.

The date for the 2009 JWM was chosen carefully, as we tried to accommodate all possible requests from the international teams and the organizers together. ( This date issue was raised during the JWM meeting held in January 2008 to possibly accommodate competitors and their families.)

Currently we have received many requests from competitors to bring their spouses and families and as it’s pretty hot During July-August we followed the recommendation from the Tourist Authorities to move the date to earlier rather than later in the summer and that in middle of JUNE it would ensure maximum comfort for competitors and a good holiday experience for their families.

The temperatures will be 33 Degrees Average so everybody should anyway be prepared for a hot summer experience. The big advantage is that although hot, there is almost no humidity and that makes it much more pleasant. We want to also mention that the main competition hanger will be air-conditioned.
